Hi, I’m Challis (pronounced like Alice, with a Ch). I recently moved to Utah from Washington DC, where I lived the last 6 years and where I started and grew my photography business.

Besides my photography experience, I also have several years of nannying experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have been called a “baby whisperer” on several occasions. I do my best to keep every session light and stress-free so we can capture the natural love & connection between your family.

I grew up in Idaho, but have also lived in Washington state, Ohio, and most recently 6 years in Maryland just outside of Washington DC. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and I love hiking, scuba diving, singing, running, anything outside, and PHOTOGRAPHY.

-I'm a natural redhead and used to hate my hair, but now love it.
-One of my biggest fears was scuba diving, and my husband talked me into getting certified. I consider overcoming that fear one of my greatest accomplishments! Doing hard things is empowering.
-My unique name comes from a small town named Challis in the mountains of Idaho.

My husband, Taylor, has a PhD in Economics and loves teaching and research. He helps me with all things technology related with phogoraphy and is super dad when I'm at sessions.

Olivia (8 yrs old) says she wants to be a photographer when she grows up and is our resident entertainer. She’s always singing, dancing, or saying “mom, I’m bored, let’s do something fun!”
Ella (4 yrs old) has the essential role of keeping me on my toes. She wants to do everything big sister is doing and has the most charming mischievous smile. How can you say no to those dimples?
Sophie (1 yr old) is so easy-going and adorable. Her big sisters adore her and somehow she puts up with their antics.
